Posts circulate around geography, nature, music, history, absurdity, and occasionally some personal bullshit. I'm just bumbling along.

In this modern world where activity is stressed almost to the point of mania, quietness as a childhood need is too often overlooked. Yet a child’s need for quietness is the same today as it has always been—it may even be greater—for quietness is an essential part of all awareness. In quiet times and sleepy times a child can dwell in thoughts of his own, and in songs and stories of his own. Margaret Wise Brown

there is no master choosing the soiled path and we require only the slightest purchase in a bit of earth, some rain, the slimmest chance to sprout… (via nopasf)

I am entitled to my feelings. I should not feel embarrassed about them, or apologize for them. How people interpret them, relate to them, feel about them is their business, and not something I can control or should worry my pretty li’l head about. If I want to make them known, or keep them to myself, either way is fine, and my choice. I need to just be myself, do what feels right, allow others to be themselves, and stop worrying so much about what might lead to what.
